Little Leage Football

I realized I haven't written in a long time and that needs to change. I've been busy with my 8 yr old being in football. Had I realized it was this time consuming, I might have decided against it. This all started in August, he went to Football camp and liked it and decided to play. At first, they practiced everyday. EVERY day! Then when school started (after a whole week) they cut back and took a day off. My son literally hates football now. He says the coaches holler and are mean and he's gotten sick twice from playing in the rain (I think it was just coincidence but he's already told me, if it rains again ~ I'm not going!) The parents are SUPER competitive. They hoot and holler and several have had words with the coaches. I heard one Dad just a cussing one day at the game. I'm sorry, but I don't think we will play again next year if it's this crazy his FIRST year!
He took pictures last week and we haven't gotten them back, but I took this one and played around with it.



Now here is some funny stuff. He has this sketch book he sort of draws like his Diary of a wimpy kid books and here is one of his drawings....

The Very Flattering TENT DRESS

The tent dress is an A-line garment with the capital letter "A" shape being the narrowest at the neckline and the widest at the hem. It is shaped like a typical A-frame tenttenttent, hence the name. The tenttenttent dressdressdress was made popular in the 1960s but I've been seeing it make a comeback. I've seen a few popular actresses wearing them as maternity dresses. Every time I get a tent dress pattern in my shop, weather it be a toddlers or a misses, it sells out FAST. Today is my first Mother's Day without my beloved Mom, and is she ever on my mind today. Oh, how I miss you today...and always!

Meet Gizmo

After MANY months of looking for a kitten, we found one and I have to say, I do believe God had a huge hand in this one. I haven't had a cat since I had my "Toby" First I didn't want one for a long time and then when I did, it seemed I compared them all to him. Then right before Christmas, my son (who is 7) really wanted a kitten bad. We looked and looked and we were always one step too late of getting one. One had just gotten adopted at the shelter, we'd call about free kitten and they be gone. Anyway, there was an ad for four free kittens this Tuesday and we went to look at them and when we opened the door, one was sitting on the couch and it meowed really loud (like look at me) and he/she looked so much like Toby I couldn't believe it. Besides the face (Toby was Himalayan) they could have been twins. Long story short, here's our new baby Gizmo.
