The 1940s

I came across some fabulous 1940s patterns. I just love the graphics on these. I would have loved to grown up in the 40's. Look at the wonderful skirts and blouses and their super thin bodies!

Last year I bought off eBay some vintage (remade) patterns from the 40s and 50s-they were awesome! The way they wore their dresses and skirts and blouses simply put today's things out in the cold! Thanks for posting those.

I'd wear those long full skirts in a minute, they are feminine and graceful and would be appropriate in any generation on anyone. Back in the late 80's Liz Claiborne was making some wonderful old time dresses with those full skirts and the lines of the 40's - they were very popular and I always got lots of compliments.
Let's all concentrate real hard on bringing back real style for a woman.

I've always love the 40's style. I have a few blouses reminiscent of that time, however I combine them with up-to-date bottoms for an original look.

A happy New Year to you!
